The Laboratory of Regenerative Medicine was established in 2006. Chen Bing and Gu Yongquan have been in charge of the laboratory, the lab area was about 100 square meters and multi-level laminar flow class. Equipped with special research equipment such as molecular biology, cell biology, animal experiment, etc. The main research direction is stem cell angiogenesis and tissue engineering. The main research contents include vascular tissue engineering, stem cell technology and angiogenesis technology. The data and experience with high scientific value have been accumulated in the relevant basic research, which has laid a foundation for further deepening the research.

At present, there are 3 doctoral tutors and 4 masters tutors. Since its establishment 10 years ago, the laboratory has trained 3 postdoctoral students, 26 doctors and 25 master physicians. Now, 10 doctoral students and 14 master students are studying.

Over the past 10 years, the laboratory has carried out a variety of clinical, basic research, including the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", the "12th Five-Year Plan" high-tech technology (863), the State Science and Technology Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, and the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. More than 40 scientific research projects, including the Natural Science Foundation of Beijing, the Special Research Fund of the Health and Family Planning Commission, the Capital Medical Research Development Fund, the Beijing Health and Family Planning Commission, the Beijing Education Commission, and the Capital Medical University Development Research Fund, The Ministry of Science and Technology, the Health and Family Planning Commission, the Ministry of Education and the Beijing Municipal Research Foundation. The teaching team, led by Professor Zhang Jian, won the title of “excellent teaching team” at the national level.
