Professor Ling Feng has made great efforts to build the world's neurosurgical "dream team", and involved the world's most famous experts in the field of neurosurgery to come to China, serving as a consultant for China-INI.

The International Clinical Class of Neurosurgery (ICCN) was established in 2004 and has been successfully held for fifteen years by Professor Madjid Samii, honorary president of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Federation (WFNS), and Professor Ling Feng, the chief expert of neurosurgery at Xuanwu Hospital. The teaching faculty of ICCN is composed of the top experts from various fields of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Federation (WFNS). Founded in 1955, the WFNS is the largest worldwide organization of neurosurgery recognized by the WHO. Its education committee represents the highest level in the world regarding of this profession. WFNS holds dozens of academic lectures and conferences every year around the world, and has made great contributions to spread the latest concepts and technologies of neurosurgery. The event has become the top-level academic conference of micro-invasive neurosurgery in China, gaining a high reputation in the industry and has been called a “master class” by many peers. Driven by Professor Samii and Professor Ling Feng, ICCN has attracted the participation of more than 3,000 Chinese neurosurgeons in the past nine years. This project has become a veritable master course of neurosurgeons. About 500 specialist doctors attend the conference every year, and doctors from neighboring countries such as Russia, Iran, and South Korea also participate in the conference.

Prof. Madjid Samii and Professor Luc Picard have made great contributions to the development and promotion of microinvasive neurosurgery in China. They both received the highest honor of “National Friendship Award” from the Chinese government in October 2007 and April 2010, respectively.

In 2004-2009 and 2010-2016, the Department of Neurosurgery of Xuanwu Hospital was continuously awarded the “National Demonstration and Promotion Base of Introduction of Foreign Intelligence Achievements” by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs. It is the only medical intelligence base in China.
